Lebanese environmental activist Caroline Chabtini has achieved her sixth Guinness World Record after constructing the world’s largest cedar tree made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, reaching an impressive height of 21 meters.
The massive installation was erected in the public garden of Amioun, in the Koura district of northern Lebanon. The project took several weeks of work and relied on collecting more than 450,000 plastic bottles, gathered by thousands of students and volunteers from across the country. The initiative carried both an environmental mission and a national symbolic message, celebrating Lebanon’s iconic cedar tree while promoting recycling and community engagement.

Chabtini received the official Guinness certificate for the world’s largest plastic cedar tree, along with an honorary shield presented by the Amioun municipality. The tree was later illuminated during a public celebration attended by a large crowd of residents and supporters.
