 Trump Shading Joe Biden

In His First Speech to Congress, President Donald Trump stated that in just 43 days, the United States has achieved more than it did in the past eight years. He believes the American dream is unstoppable and that the country is regaining confidence after a month and a half of his second term. During his speech, some Democratic lawmakers interrupted him, leading to the removal of Texas Representative Al Green, who shouted at Trump. Trump claimed his first month in office was the most successful in U.S. history, second only to George Washington, and criticized Joe Biden’s presidency as the worst. He talked about his major decisions, including the largest deportation of illegal immigrants in U.S. history. He encouraged everyone to celebrate America’s victories to make it great again. Trump also mentioned the U.S. leaving the Paris Climate Agreement, the World Health Organization, and the Human Rights Council, which he called anti-American. He discussed limits on electric cars to boost the economy.

Amidst loud clapping, Trump listed everything he had frozen, including hiring, federal regulations, and all foreign aid. He said he stopped all government oversight and restored freedom of speech, thanking the Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk, for uncovering corruption worth hundreds of billions of dollars. He also announced that he had authorized a team to explore for “liquid gold” in the U.S. and would take historic action to expand rare earth mineral production, noting that America inherited an “economic disaster and high inflation rates” from the Biden administration.

In his speech, Trump showed no signs of backing down from his decisions, criticizing the European Union, India, Mexico, Brazil, and many other countries for what he called “unfair” trade policies towards the U.S., asserting that America would treat them the same way.

He set April 2nd as the date to start imposing “reciprocal tariffs,” stating, “Whatever taxes they impose on us, we will impose on them,” pointing out that the U.S. historically imposed lower tariffs compared to its trading partners. Emphasizing his economic strategy, Trump added that “the U.S. will make trillions of dollars from these tariffs and create unprecedented job opportunities.” He concluded, “We have been exploited by every country on earth for decades, and we will not allow that to happen anymore.”
