President Aoun Inspects Workflow at Nafaa and Beirut Port
President Michel Aoun has arrived at the Directorate of Motor Vehicles (Nafaa) to inspect the workflow, accompanied by the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Brigadier General Ahmad Al-Hajjar. During his visit, President Aoun stressed the importance of addressing corruption and called on the public to inform him of any difficulties they encounter. “Whoever covers up corruption is complicit in it,” he declared, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in government processes.
In a separate visit, President Aoun inspected the Port of Beirut alongside Acting Director General of Customs, Raymond Khoury, and Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez. He highlighted the importance of strict customs control for imported goods and the fair collection of duties. “There must be zero tolerance for those who violate these rules,” President Aoun stated during his visit to the port’s security and customs facilities.
Judicial Investigations Continue in Beirut Port Explosion Case
Judicial investigator Tarek Bitar arrived at the Beirut Justice Palace to question Major Generals Abbas Ibrahim and Tony Saliba regarding their roles in the Beirut port explosion case. Following a two-hour session, Major General Ibrahim left the Palace of Justice without any actions being taken against him, stating that filing a lawsuit against Judge Tarek Bitar was not meant to obstruct the investigation, but rather to shed light on alleged judicial violations.
Major General Tony Saliba also arrived at the Justice Palace, but no major developments were reported after the session.

Minister Youssef Rajji Receives Russian Ambassador
