Additionally, they must address the issue of uncontrolled Palestinian weapons within the refugee camps. Should the Lebanese government fail to comply within this timeframe, the United States has warned that it will push for Lebanon to be placed under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. This would mean sending international forces to enforce the implementation of United Nations resolutions, particularly resolutions 1701 and 1559. These measures are aimed at ensuring Lebanon upholds its international obligations and adheres to the established laws and agreements.
