Maroun Kairouz is the first Lebanese and Arab Executive Director in the Forum’s history, helping guide its strategy and global presence. In this role, he helps shape the Forum’s strategic vision and represents it at the highest global levels.
He has led the Forum’s engagement with Middle Eastern governments especially in the Gulf and played a key role in organizing its first special meeting in partnership with the Saudi government, under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, held in Riyadh in April 2024.
The World Economic Forum, based in Geneva, was founded in 1971 and is a leading global organization fostering public-private cooperation, known most for its annual meeting in Davos.
