At the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun will begin an official visit to Abu Dhabi tomorrow, Wednesday, which will last for two days.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Lebanon and the UAE in various fields, including politics, economics, and development. During his visit, President Aoun will hold official talks with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, as well as with senior UAE officials, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries, particularly in vital areas of concern for the Lebanese people.
The discussions are expected to cover regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as the challenges facing Lebanon in the political and economic spheres. This visit comes at a critical time, as Lebanon is grappling with a severe economic crisis and complex political conditions.
It is anticipated that the visit will result in new steps to boost cooperation between the two countries, including increasing UAE investments in Lebanon, enhancing cultural and educational cooperation, and discussing ways to support Lebanon in facing its economic challenges, particularly in reconstruction and increasing humanitarian aid from the UAE.
