President Aoun Engages in Key Meetings

President Joseph Aoun, Following the visit of US Middle East Envoy Morgan Ortagus, took steps toward change by meeting with several political figures at the Presidential Palace in Baabda.

President Aoun met with Lebanon’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Fouad Dandan. They discussed the strong relationship between the two countries and the preparations for the President’s upcoming visit to Abu Dhabi.

The President also received Information Minister Paul Morcos, who discussed the general situation in the country. He also talked about the current state of the Ministry’s institutions, especially Tele Liban (Tele Liban).

Another meeting was held with Professor Bassam Badran, where they discussed the conditions at the Lebanese University. Topics included the needs of professors, staff, and students, and possible solutions to improve the situation.

President Joseph Aoun also revealed that six camps north of the Litani River, previously controlled by armed Palestinian groups outside official refugee camps, have been dismantled. He stated that these areas are now cleared, and the weapons found there were either confiscated or destroyed. This announcement came during his meeting with a delegation from the American Task Force for Lebanon.
