
Meeting with Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan
During his visit to Lebanon, Saudi Ambassador Walid Bukhari met with Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan, at Dar Al-Fatwa to extend Eid al-Fitr greetings and discuss Lebanese affairs. According to the Dar Al-Fatwa media office, Ambassador Bukhari emphasized Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to Lebanon’s security, stability, and unity under the framework of the state and its legitimate institutions, in line with the Taif Agreement. He highlighted that Lebanon’s strength lies in its national unity and its collaboration with its Arab brothers and international allies
Meeting with Lebanon’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raji
Ambassador Bukhari also met with Lebanon’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raji, where discussions focused on recent developments in Lebanon and the region. He conveyed the Kingdom’s full support for Lebanon’s reform process, led by President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. Minister Raji reaffirmed the Lebanese government’s dedication to enacting necessary economic, financial, and administrative reforms, and to ensuring that weapons remain solely in the hands of the state. He expressed deep appreciation for the Kingdom’s continued support and noted that the restoration of strong bilateral relations places Lebanon back in its natural position among its Arab brothers.
