President Joseph Aoun made his first official trip abroad since being elected, meeting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh. Before the meeting, Aoun expressed his hope to thank the kingdom for supporting Lebanon’s stability and institutions.
During the visit, Aoun and the Crown Prince laid the groundwork for future cooperation agreements between the two countries. Aoun sent a telegram to the Crown Prince after leaving, thanking him for the warm reception and highlighting the strong ties between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
Aoun also thanked King Salman for his historic support for Lebanon and looked forward to a follow-up meeting to continue their discussions.
