Nejmeh SC were crowned 2026 Lebanese Cup champions after securing a deserved 2-0 victory over Hekmeh in the tournament’s final, held on Wednesday evening at President Fouad Chehab Municipal Stadium in Jounieh.
The win earned Nejmeh their ninth Lebanese Cup title, further cementing the club’s place among Lebanon’s most successful football teams. Meanwhile, Hekmeh’s hopes of capturing their first-ever cup trophy were dashed as they concluded their season with defeat.

Nejmeh broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time through Ali Al-Fadl, before Ali Kassas sealed the victory with a second goal in the 90th minute, ensuring a comfortable triumph and sparking celebrations among the club’s supporters.
With the cup secured, Nejmeh now shift their attention to the decisive phase of the Lebanese Premier League title race, where they will compete against Al Ansar, Al Ahed, and Jouya for the league championship.

Founded in 1945 in Beirut, Nejmeh—widely known by the nickname “The Burgundy” due to the color of its kit—boasts one of the largest fan bases in Lebanese football. The latest cup success adds another chapter to the club’s rich history and reinforces its legacy as one of the country’s most decorated football institutions.
