The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported that the quake occurred approximately 20 kilometers northeast of the city of Paphos earlier this morning. The tremor was recorded at 11:31 a.m. local time, registering a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale.
