The good news is that Lebanon tops the list of Arab countries with the highest IQ in 2025, with a score of 99.39 and placing 37th globally According to the International IQ Test Study. This figure is more than just a statistic—it stands as proof of a people are blessed with analytical thinking, logic, and innate intelligence, much like the great civilizations that once thrived here and left their mark on every corner. From the Phoenicians, who created the alphabet, to the scientists and innovators whose achievements resonate worldwide…
Sad news is Lebanon has been ranked among the world’s most unhappy countries, placing 145th out of 147 nations in the 2025 World Happiness Report, released on March 21. Only Sierra Leone and Afghanistan ranked lower. Notably, Malawi and Bangladesh secured higher positions than Lebanon in the report.
As controversial as this may seem, there are several reasons that explain why
- Economic Collapse and Financial Instability
- Brain Drain and Lack of Opportunities
- Political Corruption and Governance Issues
- Trauma and Psychological Burden
- Lack of Basic Services and Infrastructure
Despite the many challenges Lebanon faces, its people’s intelligence is clear, but it’s often overshadowed by the struggles of everyday life. Without real change, political stability, and investment in the country’s future, many of Lebanon’s brightest minds will continue to be held back. Share your thoughts in the comments below!
