Members of the Depositors’ Cry Association organized a warning protest outside three banks in the Horsh Tabet area of Sin El Fil, voicing continued frustration over restrictions on access to bank deposits.
Videos circulated on social media showed groups of demonstrators gathering outside several bank branches, where the protest escalated into acts of vandalism. Footage captured participants setting fire to the entrance of one bank and damaging the facades of others.
The demonstration comes amid ongoing public anger over the prolonged banking crisis in Lebanon, with many depositors continuing to demand access to their frozen savings after years of financial restrictions. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident or any resulting damages.
