Deepening Cooperation
Sheikh Mohamed described his talks with Trump as productive. They focused on boosting partnerships in key areas, especially advanced technology and artificial intelligence (AI). He emphasized that UAE-US relations are based on a strong strategic alliance and a historic friendship spanning over 50 years. Both leaders agreed to work toward shared goals of prosperity, peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.

Qatar-US Trade in Numbers
Qatar has also committed to investing up to $1.2 trillion in the US. During Trump’s visit to Doha, deals worth $243.5 billion were signed. These include defense agreements and a huge aircraft purchase deal. In early 2025, Qatar imported $964.3 million worth of goods from the US, while exporting $708.1 million. This created a trade deficit of $256.2 million. In 2024, total imports were $3.8 billion, and exports were $1.8 billion, leading to a $2 billion trade gap.
Qatar Orders Over 400 GE Engines
Qatar Airways also signed a major deal with GE Aerospace to buy more than 400 engines, with additional options and spare parts. GE called this the largest engine order in its history.

Biggest Boeing Jet Deal in History
Qatar Airways agreed to buy 210 Boeing airplanes, including 787 Dreamliners and 777-9 models, worth $96 billion. This is the largest airplane order Boeing has ever received. The deal was signed in the presence of Trump and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
UAE and US Announce AI Alliance
Additionally UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and former US President Donald Trump attended a presentation about a new partnership in Artificial Intelligence (AI) between the two countries.

Future of Space and AI
UAE astronauts Sultan Al Neyadi, Hazzaa Al Mansoori, Nora Al Matrooshi, and Mohammed Al Mulla presented the country’s achievements in space exploration to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and former US President Donald Trump. They also shared future goals for the space program, showing the UAE’s growing role in space technology.
